Dr. Stacey Knobel knew at a very young age that she had a unique passion for animals and that she was destined to be a veterinarian. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours, majoring in Animal Science at the University of Guelph in 2008. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College in 2012. Dr. Knobel joined the team at the Angus Veterinary Clinic in 2012, after graduation.
She has since become well known for her care and compassion for all her patients. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has particular interests in behaviour, dentistry, surgery, internal medicine and wildlife medicine.
She is very passionate about all species of animals and has had several opportunities to volunteer for projects involving domestic animals and wildlife. She has had the opportunity to volunteer with Global Vets, spending a summer in East Africa working on a variety of human-animal health and sustainability projects.
When she’s not at the clinic, Dr. Knobel spends her time with her husband and 2 young boys, Garnet and Oliver. Their family also includes 2 cats, Boo and Goose, and a rescue dog named Apollo. She enjoys playing on a number of baseball teams, and loves outdoor adventures, DIY projects, photography, and reading a good book.
Sarah has been with the clinic for over 25 years and has proudly served the community as a Registered Veterinary Technician. During her long career she has worked with all kinds of animals in all kinds of settings and obtained her Bachelor of Education along the way. Sarah manages the clinic in addition to caring for the pets and their people. It is her pleasure to answer any of your questions and also to help you in choosing healthy nutrition for your furry family member.
Sarah is an accredited animal chaplain and available to assist in caring for humans and non-humans in the bond of love. She is currently studying to obtain certification in Animal Hospice & Palliative Care.
